The “long recovery road” for Lux results in the first HR since “22”

Walker Buehler returned to the mound on Monday, the Dodgers’ first opportunity to see him since his injury nearly two years ago. Going forward, the Dodgers will need Buehler to be at the top of their game.

The Dodgers were treated to something else on Tuesday that they haven’t seen in almost two years, albeit not quite to the same degree of return. This time, it was on the offensive side of the ball.

Tuesday night at Dodger Stadium, the Dodgers defeated the Marlins 8-2. In the third inning, Gavin Lux leaped on an Edward Cabrera slider and launched it over the right-field wall for his first home run of the year and the first since August 15, 2022. Lux suffered an ACL and LCL tear that kept him out of the 23 season.
