Devin Booker is uncertain for Saturday’s game against the Boston Celtics.
Phoenix — Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker is questionable for Saturday’s home game against the Boston Celtics, according to head coach Frank Vogel.
Booker has missed Phoenix’s last three games due to a sprained ankle, which he suffered against the Houston Rockets last Saturday.
He’s been declared out of the three previous games against Oklahoma City, Denver, and Toronto leading up to the big game versus Boston, so the “doubtful” label could be beneficial.
The timing for Booker’s recovery has been widely predicted, with the general consensus being 7-10 days after his injury
.According to NBA on TNT’s Chris Haynes, Booker’s earliest comeback date would be tomorrow against the Celtics, and if the Suns were in the playoffs, he would not have missed any of Phoenix’s wins against the Nuggets or Raptors:
The Celtics have the league’s best record, 48-14. Phoenix is presently the West’s No. 6 seed, with a 37-26 record.
Tomorrow’s game starts at 6:30 p.m. Arizona time.
The earliest Booker might return, albeit a long shot, is March 9 against the Boston Celtics. But I’m informed he stayed in Phoenix. He is having 24-hour care in order to recover in a timely manner. I was also informed that if this were a playoff game, he would play tonight. So the Suns are simply trying to be careful.
