Following PSG’s announcement that they are willing to sell their star forward Kylian Mbappe, Manchester City has been linked with a deal for him.
According to reports, Manchester City is not in the running to capture Kylian Mbappe of PSG this summer.
Mbappe will be leaving Paris Saint-Germain this summer after refusing to sign a new deal. PSG has now invited proposals in a last-ditch effort to avoid losing him for free next summer.
Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia had an absurd offer for Mbappe accepted, but it is understood the striker does not wish to transfer to the Middle East. As a result, the name of City has been offered as a potential location.
However, The Athletic journalist David Ornstein appeared to rule out Pep Guardiola’s side in the Mbappe talks while speaking to Rio Ferdinand’s FIVE YouTube channel. Many people have brought up that prospect, but I don’t think it’s likely, he added.
“You’ve got a huge salary there that few Premier League clubs, if any, could afford while still adhering to financial fair play regulations. There have been rumors that this deal may only be consummated by Man City, particularly if a transfer fee was involved.
Who wouldn’t like him, right? Of course, they all like him. There will be admiration from every club, including Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal, Man City, and Liverpool, but that doesn’t guarantee they will be able to complete the transaction.
