According to reports, Arsenal is prepared to accede to a club’s demands for their pivotal attacker, who is also referred to as what they’re “missing” and is “fast.”
Arsenal’s 2024 transfer goals
Mikel Arteta will try to make it seven victories out of ten when Arsenal plays Sheffield United at Bramall Lane this afternoon in the Premier League. The Gunners are currently tied with Man City for the most points from the previous season and five points behind table-topping rivals Tottenham; however, Arteta’s squad has some holes that the team is reportedly looking to fill.
Much talk has focused on a potential transfer for a new striker. Ivan Toney, a star player at Brentford who has been heavily linked to a move to north London, is one player that Arsenal is interested in signing. Arteta enjoys watching Wolves’ Pedro Neto in the winter as well. Douglas Luiz, an Aston Villa midfielder, is being considered to take Thomas Partey’s spot in the winter window. Rumor has it that Partey may leave Arsenal in January if his playing time doesn’t increase.
Returning to the striker position, Arsenal may need a world-class number nine to keep them in the upper echelons of English football. While Toney is undoubtedly someone to keep an eye on, Santiago Gimenez, a forward for Feyenoord, is another player to keep an eye on.
arsenal prepared to fulfill Gimenez demands
Both members of the media and former professionals have praised the Mexico international, who is currently one of Europe’s most lethal and productive strikers. Speaking on Talking Transfers earlier this month, 90-minute journalist Graham Bailey praised Giménez for his outstanding start to 2023–2024.
“By the way, Santiago Gimenez looks amazing; he looks fantastic.” I think he looks amazing,” Bailey remarked. “Teams have been observing Feyenoord, who have a few; they are the top team in Holland; we are aware that Gimenez has recently been observed by Arsenal and Tottenham.”
Gimenez’s speed was also lauded by former Liverpool striker Dirk Kuyt, who described him as “really fast” and the best striker in the Eredivisie.
Kuyt remarked of one of the striker’s performances, “He’s back here in the middle of the defenders and he’s really fast.” “The others were observing the keeper prior to his firing. He is, in my opinion, the best striker in the Eredivisie right now.”
Gimenez has made just nine appearances in the Dutch top flight this season, but he has already scored an amazing 13 goals and provided three assists. He’s already getting close to breaking his own mark from the previous campaign, when he finished with 15 league goals.
Given that TV Play has recently revealed some encouraging Gimenez transfer news involving Arteta, he appears to be quite the target. According to the outlet, Arsenal is prepared to pay the estimated £35 million to £39 million that Gimenez is worth. It is thought that the North Londoners, along with Spurs, may be willing to “accomodate” Feyenoord’s asking price.
