Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp is having a difficult time this year. They are now trailing fourth-place Tottenham by seven points and are trailing Premier League leaders Arsenal by a whopping 29 points.
If Liverpool experiences another challenging season, Jurgen Klopp has said he’ll leave the club.
Because of their inconsistent play this season, Liverpool is currently eighth in the Premier League, 29 points behind league leaders Arsenal and seven back of Tottenham for the final Champions League position.
Klopp was expecting for a response against Chelsea on Tuesday after the Reds were humiliated by champions Manchester City over the weekend. For the journey to Stamford Bridge, the German made an astounding six changes to his starting lineup, but his team once again fell short and was fortunate to return home with a point.
After the goalless match, when asked if he had ever had a season like this, Klopp responded, “Thank God, no. If I hadn’t had a few of these seasons, I wouldn’t be the manager of Liverpool.
“We have to overcome it. Life is like that. To change your circumstances, you must struggle.
“Both teams played in two finals last year, two of the best 0-0s I’ve ever seen,” he continued. Today’s match featured two underdog teams who were fiercely competitive. A point and a lot of wonderful stuff are acceptable to us. We were quite combative. We must continue on.
“At first, we had trouble with the final sentence, but we modified it three times. The balls in behind were challenging, but we recovered nicely after that. We improved as the game went on.
“The midfield had good communication. We had our chances right away. It wasn’t a trader. A step was taken. Making steps is what we must do. occasionally smaller steps.
