With an NBA-best record of 44-12, the Boston Celtics are thoughtfully considering their options for their available roster space.
With a 44-12 record, the Boston Celtics are the team with the best record in the NBA. Not a single other squad has 40 victories.
The C’s also have what is regarded as the Association’s most gifted top six. “I think we just have to see number one is if there is somebody that can again provide great depth for our group, but I don’t anticipate a person that vaults into our every night rotation,” said Brad Stevens, president of basketball operations, in reference to the team’s open roster space.
He mentioned to Inside The Celtics that they could sign center Neemias Queta to a full-time contract in order to fill that vacancy. “I have, we have, to continue to evaluate everything for that last roster spot we have, but he’s done a great job.”
After obtaining Xavier Tillman and Jaden Springer at the trade deadline, Boston now meticulously determines how to fill that vacant roster position and whether it would be preferable to leave it unfilled and form a close-knit group with exceptional chemistry without adding anybody else.

One of the group’s past stars, Isaiah Thomas, made his case for how he could assist Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and the rest in reaching the NBA’s pinnacle while the organization proceeds in this manner.
“Just my leadership could get this team over the finish line! He said on X, “I don’t even have to play a single minute.”
In addition to being selected for two All-Star teams, Thomas was also named to the All-NBA Second Team, finished fifth in the MVP voting for the 2016–17 season, and guided the Celtics to the Eastern Conference Finals.
