Jordan Walsh returned to the Maine Celtics following a brief stint with the Boston Celtics.
In four games spread over five weeks, Walsh made his NBA debut on February 4 in a 131-91 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies. That was also his last NBA basket. Along with Anthony Black and Nick Smith Jr., Walsh was one of three Hogs selected in the 2023 draft, selected with the 38th pick. In his lone season as a Razorback, the native of Desoto, Texas, averaged 7.1 points in 36 games (22 starts) and participated in a Sweet Sixteen run.
In a short period of time, the Celtics have already come to appreciate Walsh’s enthusiasm and agility thanks to both Payton Pritchard and 2018 All-Star Kristaps Porzingis. Following a career-high 18 minutes in a 136-86 victory over the Brooklyn Nets on February 14, both players showered Walsh with accolades. In his first significant playing time in the league, Walsh was a +/- 8 and pulled down five rebounds without scoring.
Walsh, who is averaging 15 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 1.7 assists in 30.8 minutes, will now rejoin the Maine Celtics.
