Over the years, Larry Bird has publicly compared Michael Jordan to God and stated in a number of interviews that he thinks Jordan is the best basketball player of all time. Larry places Magic Johnson ahead of himself because he too thinks that players should be ranked according to their level of success. It follows that he probably thinks Jordan is the best. Although he hasn’t responded to this question directly to my knowledge, I understand that he thinks it’s Michael Jordan.
