When asked who he thought was the best player and team outside of the Phoenix Suns, Kevin Durant gave his opinion.
Phoenix: One day remains until the 2024 NBA All-Star Game, and on Saturday’s media day, players from all around the league, including forward Kevin Durant of the Phoenix Suns, had plenty to say.
Durant was urged to omit the Suns from his list of the greatest group and individual for the 2023–24 season.
“Every night my best player, my top five, my GOATs, I feel like every week they change,” he stated.
“I believe that the Minnesota Timberwolves were playing excellent ball the week prior to the break. The Los Angeles Clippers are having a fantastic season. Kawhi Leonard is the best player I’ve seen, therefore I’ll probably go with the Clippers.”
At 36-17, the Clippers are currently good for third place in the Western Conference. They are only 0.5 games behind the 37-17 Oklahoma City Thunder and two games behind the leading Timberwolves (39-16).
The Suns are fifth in the Western Conference with a 33-22 record, not far behind. Six games separate them from the lead.
Leonard is fourth in the NBA in terms of thefts per night with 1.7. In 34 minutes of play, he is averaging 24.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 3.7 assists.
