On what would have been their 23rd wedding anniversary, Vanessa Bryant honors her late husband Kobe Bryant. The model, philanthropist, and businesswoman published a montage of old pictures of herself and her husband on Instagram on Thursday.
In the pictures, Vanessa Bryant is dressed in a glittery long-sleeved dress, while the late basketball icon is dressed in a suit and tie. The duo can be seen kissing in one photo and having fun posing for the camera in another. The caption said, “Happy Anniversary @kobebryant ❤️ #23,” as Vanessa Bryant put it. In the comment section, friends, relatives, and supporters expressed their support, with many of them posting multiple heart emojis. These people included Jessica Alba, Ciara, and Vanessa Bryant’s daughter Natalia.
Bianka, Capri, and Gianna were the three other daughters that Vanessa Bryant and Kobe Bryant, who were married on April 18, 2001, shared in addition to Natalia. In 2020, at the age of 13, Gianna lost her life in a helicopter crash alongside her father. At a Los Angeles Lakers game earlier this year, Vanessa Bryant was joined by her three living daughters to celebrate the unveiling of a 19-foot bronze monument of Kobe Bryant by the Lakers on February 8, 2024.
Murals all across Los Angeles immortalize Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna, commonly known as Gigi. In a 2021 interview with People, Vanessa Bryant revealed that following the deaths of Gianna and Kobe Bryant, she was given the fortitude to go on by Natalia Bryant, Bianka, and Capri.
She said, “My girls help me smile through the pain,” at the time. “They give me strength.”
