Rafael Nadal agrees to play for Team Europe in Berlin as part of Bjorn Borg’s Laver Cup invitation.

In September 2022, Rafael Nadal played with his longtime friend and rival Roger Federer in their final Laver Cup match inside London’s O2 Arena, helping to send Federer off in style.

Even though Federer’s dreams of a farewell tour were dashed to a single doubles match that weekend, the reunion of Andy Murray, Rafael Nadal, Federer, and Novak Djokovic as members of Team Europe left a lasting impression.

It was revealed on Monday that Bjorn Borg had selected Rafael Nadal with one of his three captains’ choices for the seventh men’s team competition in Berlin, which will take place at Uber Arena from September 20 to 22.
