The renowned Boston Celtics player Larry Bird is recognized for being one of the NBA’s greatest smack talkers; now, the karma bus has shown up in the shape of a ripe tomato.
When a photo of a distorted tomato started going viral online on Monday (AEST), the 63-year-old hall of famer turned into a human toy for internet users.

The name of the 12-time NBA All Star started trending on Twitter in the US not long after it was initially determined that the fruit was actually Bird in tomato form.
