Ex-Bob Dylan ex-Joan Baez has discovered “complete forgiveness”

Finally, Joan Baez has granted Bob Dylan “total forgiveness.”

While the ‘Like a Rolling Stone’ hitmaker abruptly ended their relationship in 1965, the 82-year-old star started dating her musical partner in 1960, when he was still unknown. Although the ‘Farewell, Angelina’ singer harbored resentment towards the folk legend, who is also 82, for years, her art finally helped her learn to let go.

We were in our early twenties, she said to People magazine. You can’t hold someone accountable forever, and we were foolish. I did try, but I gave up in the end.

She went on to say that she had discovered “total forgiveness” after creating a portrait of Dylan when he was younger. “I put his music on, and I just dissolved into tears,” she said. Upon finishing the artwork, I felt no resentment. Not one. That hasn’t changed.

Joan, whose romance with the singer of “Tangled Up in Blue” inspired the 1975 smash song “Diamonds and Rust,” is undecided if she will resume her musical career after formally ending her tour in 2019.

When asked if she thought new songs might be released, she replied, “I’m not sure. It appears to be a bit of a late game.”

The ‘Here’s To You’ singer’s voice has altered, which is one reason for her hesitation, but she enjoys the “challenge” of figuring out what sounds well in her new vocal range.

“I have to give up the old one and any thoughts I had that I could really revitalise that,” the singer stated.

“I find it kind of entertaining because part of it still transitions into this new period in the lower range. It presents a challenge.

These days, Joan enjoys spending time with her son Gabriel Harris and his daughter Jasmine, as well as creating art and writing poems. She had this son with her late ex-husband David Harris.

“The word retirement didn’t mean anything to me,” the woman remarked, “but it’s released this creative energy that just kind of exploded.”
