The Commanders have asked defensive assistant Anthony Weaver of the Baltimore Ravens for an interview, as reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
After playing four seasons in Baltimore, Weaver, 43, was selected by the Ravens in the second round of the 2002 draft. He has worked with John Harbaugh for three seasons, coming back to the team in 2021 to coach the defensive line. He was elevated to assistant head coach in 2022.

Perhaps bitter after being rejected, former Dallas Cowboys player Michael Irvin used Friday’s episode of Fox Sports’ “Undisputed” to criticize Dalvin Cook for choosing to sign with the Baltimore Ravens rather than his previous employers. The four-time Pro Bowler’s services were connected to the Cowboys and Ravens in a number of rumors, but he formally announced his move to Charm City on Friday. Irvin wasn’t happy about that because he thought Cook could have had a bigger influence on Dallas’ results.
